Water to your door in two taps
We designed and built the My Water Shop app for iOS and Android: the first version in 2017, the second in 2021, and now the third is live. The app counts how many days the water will last, reminds customers to reorder in advance and works as a full online store.

About the project
From a reminder to a store
Customers forgot to reorder water and the business lost orders. The first version of the app already counted the remaining water. The second one had to refresh the look, simplify checkout and turn the app into a store with a full catalogue.
We designed and built version 1.0 for iOS and Android, and in 2021 the second one: sign-up, the home screen with the water supply, the shop, checkout and the profile. We built one design system so new features are easy to add. Checkout is based on an analysis of hundreds of user interviews. Version 3.0 is already live.
The home screen shows the supply in days and repeats an order with one button. The app became a store: an item gets from the catalogue to the basket in two taps, and checkout fits on one screen.

The supply on the home screen
How many days the water will last is right on top. Next to it: the delivery address, offers and products for you that go to the basket with one button.
Catalogue
Water in 18.9 l bottles and in small bottles, drinks, combo sets, water equipment and goods for home and office.
Payment
Google Pay or a saved card, a promo code, bonuses and a receipt by e-mail. The total and the Confirm button are on the same screen.
The order
Address, delivery date and time window, payment method. A completed order can be rated or repeated with one tap.
Green Bag
A social and environmental initiative: customers collect used bottles in a special bag and the service takes the plastic for recycling.
Referral programme
When an invited friend gets their first order, both receive 60 UAH on their bonus account.

How ordering water moved to the phone
My Water Shop delivers Borjomi, Morshynska and Myrgorodska water. The second version of the app continues a path that started with a website and a call centre.

Home screen
See how many days your water will last
The home screen shows the water supply in days. Colour tells you when to reorder: the ring stays blue while there is enough and turns red when the water is running out. The last order can be repeated with one button.

The main constraint: keep the screen light and leave customers’ habits as they are.

A simpler sign-up
We simplified data entry, made errors easier to spot and added all the legal information users need. Then the customer picks a city and the app shows the prices for that region.

The app used to do one thing: order water. Now it has a catalogue with categories, brands and recommendations, and any item is two taps away from the basket.

Checkout
The whole order on one screen
Checkout was the most complex module, where business requirements meet what the customer expects. We analysed hundreds of user interviews and put everything on one screen, from the address to the payment.
Basket
The basket shows the total right away, and below it the app suggests items worth adding to the order.
Details and payment
Address, date and time, aqua points, delivery, the total and the payment method: Apple Pay or a saved card.
Delivery date
The customer picks the date in a calendar without leaving checkout.
Profile
Everything about the customer in one place
The profile now also holds the app settings: personal details, delivery addresses, purchase history, payment cards and the loyalty programme with aqua points. Customers can pick an emoji instead of an avatar.
