A cinema-restaurant menu on an iPad in every box
RE’LUX by Planeta Kino was the first cinema-restaurant in Ukraine. A pull-out iPad is hidden under the table of every box, and guests use it to order food or call a waiter. We designed and built the app for that iPad.

About the project
A restaurant that comes to the viewer
RE’LUX has three premium halls of 26 seats each, with personal boxes instead of the usual seats. Guests needed a way to order food and call a waiter without leaving their box.
We designed the interface and graphics of the iPad app: a menu with large food photos, an icon set, the basket and orders with statuses, a popcorn menu, choosing your seat and calling a waiter. We built the app for iOS.

The box
Two chairs, a table and an iPad beneath it
Every box has two reclining chairs, a small table for food, pillows and blankets, and personal lighting on both sides. A pull-out iPad with the app is hidden under the table.
Menu
Dishes you can see at a glance
The menu is built on large food photos: a category opens as a grid, and a dish card shows the name with the weight, the price and an Order button, then suggests what to add.
Icons
Find a favourite dish faster
We drew our own set of line icons for the menu categories: drinks, coffee, desserts, sushi, pizza, burgers, kebabs and more.
Orders
The order’s progress is visible in the app
Before sending, the guest checks the order, picks card or cash and confirms. After that each dish shows whether it is being prepared or ready, and the app says which seat it will be served to.

Other screens
Seat choice, sauces, wines and calling a waiter
The app asks which seat the guest is in, so the food goes to the right place, and lets them call a waiter with one button.
