The whole SOCAR station, on the driver’s phone
We designed and built the iOS and Android app: paying for fuel without leaving the car, bonuses, shop pre-orders and later a second version with the sCard fuel card.

About the project
Six years with one station network
Challenge
Give drivers of the SOCAR network in Ukraine one app for everything at the station: paying for fuel and goods, getting discounts and bonuses, ordering ahead.
What we did
We designed the UX/UI of the first version, SOCAR level, and of the second one with the sCard fuel card and a litre wallet. We built the iOS and Android app and prepared the App Store and Google Play screenshots.
Outcome
More than 100,000 installs on Google Play as of June 2020. We worked with the network from 2016 to 2021.

SOCAR PAY
Refuelling without leaving the car
The driver picks the pump and the fuel, sets the litres or the amount and pays in the app. For coffee or shop items, scanning a QR code at the till is enough.
Pre-order
Ready by the time you arrive
Coffee, hot dogs and shop items can be ordered ahead at the chosen station, paid for in the app and picked up at the till.

For the App Store and Google Play we made a set of eight frames, each showing one benefit: vouchers, SOCAR PAY, pre-orders, Blago, the level card and offers.

sCard: a fuel card on the phone
In 2.0 the app got the sCard fuel card: available litres, the main fuel type, the refuelling history and limits, with no plastic.

Fuel for yourself or a friend
In the second version drivers buy fuel ahead in litres, choose how to pay and can send litres to a friend by phone number.
Wallet
Every card in one place
The level bonus card, sCard, the litre wallet and payment cards live on one screen, with the transaction history and fuel limits by day or month.
